A Thank You To All Who Came By McCain Blogs

(Woops, I just noticed that I ended saving this as a draft, rather then posting. My Bad!)

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the great folks that came by to McCain Blogs, and made this little site go. It was much appreciated. We didn’t quite get what we wanted, and will have to put up with Barry for 4 years, but, look on the bright side, there is always 2010 for Congress, and we have Palin and Jindal as potential frontrunners for 2012.

I’m not a big feelings based guy (except for puppies, women, and a perfect 5 foot face on a warm day), so, again, a big thank you.

And thanks to Beth and Beth for inviting me to help out with McCain Blogs, I truly enjoyed it.

So, you can come visit us at our personal blogs and the others we post at

Beth: MY Vast Right Wing Conspiracy

Blue Star Beth: Blue Star Chronicles and Right Pundits

Carol: The Median Sib

Me: Pirate’s Cove, Stop The ACLU, Right Wing News on Sundays, and after the holidays, I am hoping to post at Right Pundits, as well.

Thanks again, folks, and see y’all in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Schwarzenegger Offers to Pump Obama Up

Arnold Schwarzenegger delivers the best lines of the stump speeches in Ohio. Speaking on behalf of John McCain, he mentioned that Obama needs to pump up his scrawny legs and arms! Ha! Watch the video of the speech below.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke in Ohio for the John McCain campaign. He said a lot of important things during his speech. However, one of the more attention getting things he said was that he plans to invite Senator Barack Obama to his next Arnold’s Classic bodybuilding in Ohio. He says Obama needs to attend next spring “because he needs to do something about those skinny legs” and because he needs to “beef up those scrawny little arms”. Mostly, says Schwarzenegger, Obama needs to put some meat on his ideas.

More importantly, Governor Schwarzenegger talked to the group about the impact Socialism had on Europe. He talked about his own personal success in the United States that would not have been possible any where else in the world. He also mentioned the FACT that the Socialism experiment in Western Europe over the last 30 or so years has failed. All of those countries are moving away from Socialism and yet Obama wants to move the United States in that direction. Even though its proven to be an ineffective form of government.

“I left Europe four decades ago because socialism has killed opportunities there,” he said, sparking an extended round of applause. “In recent years, Europe has realized its mistakes, has begun rolling back some of its ’spread the wealth’ policies… But now Senator Obama says he wants to pursue those same ’spread the wealth’ ideas.”

“Now, just because you want to raise a tax, certainly doesn’t make you a socialist,” said Schwarzenegger, who has raised taxes to cope with California’s current budget crisis. “But Senator Obama wants to raise taxes because of ideology.”

The fact that Obama has raised unprecedented sums this cycle and spent it on his campaign, Schwarzenegger argued, is merely proof that he’s not looking out for the public interest.

“He could have bailed out the banks, paid off everyone’s mortgages and saved taxpayers a lot of money,” he said, setting off another round of cheers. “I think there will be a backlash against all this lopsided spending. I think voters will say, ‘Democracy is not for sale.’”

Dear Mr. Obama - Video

Dear Mr. Obama - Video

This is a simple and direct message from an American hero, an Iraq War Veteran, to Barack Obama. Its a powerful message about putting country first.

“Dear Mr Obama having spent 12 months in Iraq theatre I can promise you it’s not a mistake.”

“When you call the Iraqi war a mistake you disrespect the service and sacrifice of everyone who has died promoting freedom… Because you do not understand or appreciate these principles Sir, I am supporting Senator John McCain for president.”

Turn Michigan Red

Not long ago McCain realized he couldn’t out spend the mega wealthy Obama in the key state of Michigan. Since Obama has virtually unlimited funds (where DOES all that money come from and why are the donors funneling it through Swiss banks?? Just wondering). With limited funds and a hard fight left to fight, McCain had to put his resources in other areas where he felt he’d get more bang for his buck.

Since then, Obama has announced he’s pulling ads and staff out of Michigan. Why not? He’s got that state won, right?

Well, ALL of Michigan isn’t happy with the recently shameful Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who refused to leave office regardless of his illegal, reprehensible and immoral behavior. All of Michigan was also not happy with the democratic Michigan governor who refused to do anything about Kilpatrick in spite of the outrage of the people of the state.

So now, Our Country Deserves Better has decided that Obama’s arrogance is an opportunity to put some ads in Michigan and help turn it red after all. No one can compete with Obama’s wealth and his uber wealthy supporters, but now that he’s sure he’s got the state won …….. :)

Of course, this groups and others (as well as us) are completely independent of the McCain campaign. But you have to admit the ads are pretty good.

Enjoy ….

John McCain Suspends His Campaign

John McCain suspended his campaign today and went back to Washington to work with the Senate on the economic crisis we are facing. Read his message to the country below.

John McCain’s Remarks on the Economic Crisis
New York, NY
Wednesday, September 24, 2008

America this week faces an historic crisis in our financial system. We must pass legislation to address this crisis. If we do not, credit will dry up, with devastating consequences for our economy. People will no longer be able to buy homes and their life savings will be at stake. Businesses will not have enough money to pay their employees. If we do not act, ever corner of our country will be impacted. We cannot allow this to happen.

Last Friday, I laid out my proposal and I have since discussed my priorities and concerns with the bill the Administration has put forward. Senator Obama has expressed his priorities and concerns. This morning, I met with a group of economic advisers to talk about the proposal on the table and the steps that we should take going forward. I have also spoken with members of Congress to hear their perspective.

It has become clear that no consensus has developed to support the Administration’s proposal. I do not believe that the plan on the table will pass as it currently stands, and we are running out of time.

Tomorrow morning, I will suspend my campaign and return to Washington after speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative. I have spoken to Senator Obama and informed him of my decision and have asked him to join me.

I am calling on the President to convene a meeting with the leadership from both houses of Congress, including Senator Obama and myself. It is time for both parties to come together to solve this problem.

We must meet as Americans, not as Democrats or Republicans, and we must meet until this crisis is resolved. I am directing my campaign to work with the Obama campaign and the commission on presidential debates to delay Friday night’s debate until we have taken action to address this crisis.

I am confident that before the markets open on Monday we can achieve consensus on legislation that will stabilize our financial markets, protect taxpayers and homeowners, and earn the confidence of the American people. All we must do to achieve this is temporarily set politics aside, and I am committed to doing so.

Following September 11th, our national leaders came together at a time of crisis. We must show that kind of patriotism now. Americans across our country lament the fact that partisan divisions in Washington have prevented us from addressing our national challenges. Now is our chance to come together to prove that Washington is once again capable of leading this country.

Meanwhile, Obama waited several hours before he announced that this was all his idea to begin with and he didn’t THINK he’d suspend his campaign because the American people need to see them and hear them. As IF we haven’t seen and heard Obama every time we turn our televisions on for the past two years. He whined a while about how McCain hadn’t called him back until the afternoon and then made his announcement and headed back to Washington while Obama was doing other things. Hrumpt!

I imagine that there were several hundred advisers in an auditorium somewhere in an intimate meeting with Obama during those hours trying to figure out how to make it look like HE was the decisive one and HE was the leader. So their idea, apparently, was for him to let everyone know that it was his idea yet he wasn’t going to do it.

Then, to make matters ever worse, the indecisive Obama the President called him and told him to get his hiney back to Washington and actually do some work. (He THINKS he’ll go on with his campaign even though he’s being paid to be a Senator. I worry that he might not know the directions to the Senate - that could be the problem).

The thing that seemed obvious to me today is that the Republicans are already looking to McCain for leadership and he took the leadership role. Obama sent a message that if they needed him to let him know - apparently no one did. However, at this point, they are both the leaders of their respective parties. And they can’t vote on something if they are actually physically present at the Senate. A surrogate can’t do that for them. Obama may not have known that since he hasn’t been there much.

Now, he has to follow McCain to Washington like a puppy after trying to assert himself as a leader in the most pathetic way. His spokespeople are all over the television saying what a courageous decision he made to get in front of the people instead of going back to Washington to do his job during a crisis. They are saying he showed real leadership. And now they are saying that he is showing bipartisanship by going to Washington when the President called him.

The man is pathetic.

McCain is the man.

McCain To Release Major Exciting Ad Tonight

Personally, I seriously doubt McCain will announce his VP pick this Thursday. It would be classless, and, I think he and his folks know that. But, this should be interesting. An ad released while The Messiah rises on his platform like Zeus or Addonis, to preach from the backdrop of Mt. Olympis.

Via The Politico, who caught this during Morning Joe (along with 30 other people)

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Apparently the McCain campaign has an ad rolling out tonight. What’s it about?

JILL HAZELBAKER: Well, Mika, this is a historic ad. I think this is the first of its kind. Senator McCain is going to speak direct to camera to Barack Obama. I’m not going to give away many more details than that. But suffice to say it’s going to be a very exciting ad, and I think it’s going to get a lot of attention

BRZEZINSKI: Jill, you’ve got to give us more on this ad. He’s speaking directly to camera, John McCain is to Barack Obama. If you say there’s news here, what’s the news?

HAZELBAKER: Well, I’m going to keep a lid on it. But I think it’s newsworthy to note that Senator McCain is going to have an ad that’s going to air in battleground states around the time that Senator Obama is speaking tonight. And he’s going to be talking directly to his opponent. So, I’m going to leave it there, but it’s going be very exciting and a lot of people are going to focus on it.

Should be interesting! Of course, we all know that Barry and The Nutroots will require a waaaah-mbulance!

Meanwhile, Remote Control
